However, that isn’t stopping her from spilling some major details about their marriage. The former First Lady opened up about some of her biggest pet peeves this week. When it comes to the 44th President of the United States it’s all about his inability to be on time over the years.
On her new IMO Podcast, Michelle Obama and her brother Craig Robinson shared their thoughts about things that get on their nerves. For Michelle, it’s punctuality. The mother-of-two says that when she and Barack Obama first got together she had to teach him how to be on time, and not leave her hanging.
“Barack, you know, he had to adjust to what on time was for me,” she stated. Michelle went on to reveal that her husband had a bad habit of getting up to get ready when it was already time to leave.
“I was like, ‘Dude, a 3 o’clock departure means you’ve done all that,’ you know, it’s like, don’t start looking for your glasses at the 3 o’clock departure,” she quipped. “He’s improved over 30 years of marriage, but that was a ‘you must adjust.’”

Robinson joked that his brother-in-law was on “island time,” referencing his time living in Hawaii before meeting Michelle. For her part, the podcast host also says that she helped her daughters, Sasha and Malia, learn that they need to be early in order to be on time according to her standards.
Michelle Obama’s comments about her marriage with Barack Obama come at a time when the couple have been making headlines for their relationship. There has been a ton of speculation that the pair are close to divorce.
It was previously reported that the duo are living separate lives (via Page Six). There’s even been talk that they’ve been consulting lawyers to help them divide their assets. However, they’ve stayed quiet on the drama throughout it all.
Of course, fans have many opinions about Michelle’s decision not to debunk the rumors on her podcast. Some even believe she was using the speculation to help launch her latest endeavor.
“She’s really playing up the divorce drama to help get ratings for her podcast. She could easily deny the rumors but doesn’t,” one person commented.
