Gwen Stefani is sparking controversy online yet again. This time the No Doubt lead singer got under the skin of some social media followers when she took to her Twitter account to show major support for religious actor Jonathan Roumie after he sat down for an interview with contentious TV personality Tucker Carlson. This comes after The Voice coach also ruffled feathers by promoting the Hallow app, a religious app for Catholic prayer.
According to The New York Post, Gwen Stefani raised the eyebrows of many when she shared a video of Jonathan Roumie and Tucker Carlson on social media, expressing her support for the duo. In the interview, Roumie and Carlson discussed Christianity and the actor’s portrayal of Jesus Christ on the popular television series The Chosen.
“Wow Jonathan Roumie, you are a powerful inspirational human, what an enlightening intelligent beautiful interview thank you for being you gx,” Stefani posted on X.
While Gwen had plenty of support for promoting the interview, others were not happy about her decision to publicly gush over Carlson. She was even labeled a “right-wing grifter.“
Gwen Stefani Sparks Controversy Again With Tucker Carlson Support

“You honestly need a reality check,” one person commented.
“Normalize not promoting Tucker Carlson,” another wrote.
“Gwen is in her Trump era,” a third comment read.
“Blake has got you brainwashed, Gwen,” a fourth comment stated.
Some fans were surprised when Stefani promoted the Hallow app during the holiday season. However, others who have followed her career for years weren’t shocked. To them, it was simply the singer continuing to be a devout catholic, which she has been throughout her career.
According to Medium, Gwen has often spoken out about her religious beliefs. She’s revealed in the past that she was raised in faith and even took a trip to the Vatican with her family. Her faith is so important to her that when she split with her first husband, Gavin Rossdale, she had the Catholic church grant her an annulment before she married Blake Shelton (via Us Weekly).
Because of Gwen Stefani’s history as a girl-powered pop-punk princess, some fans are surprised to learn about some of her beliefs. While her diehard fans continue to support her, the singer has seemingly lost a few followers along the way by being open about her thoughts on certain hot-button issues like religion. However, she continues to stay true to herself, despite what some may think about it.
