Sean Diddy Combs‘ news followers are disappointed to learn that the disgraced music mogul’s trial will be untelevised. Instead, they will be forced to receive trial updates through various news media outlets or receive their information through the new ABC News Podcast, which will launch later this month.

ABC News is excited to announce they will launch their new, true crime podcast series on March 25. The Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy podcast will cover Sean Diddy Combs’ trial and all news related to federal criminal charges and civil lawsuits.

According to ENSTARZ, Brian Buckmire will host the series. He will provide an in-depth look at the allegations, legal battles, and Combs’ defense. The series is part of ABC Audio’s expanding true-crime programming, which includes other shows like 20/20: The After Show and The Crime Scene Weekly.

During the first six podcast episodes, Buckmire will explore the early allegations against Sean Diddy Combs, as well as all news leading to the federal charges throughout the trial. When the May 12 trial begins, the podcast will shift to twice-weekly shows, which will cover real-time updates and expert analysis from the courtroom.

Most fans following the Diddy case are angry that the trial will not be available via live stream. As most recall, Sean Diddy Combs’ world came crashing down on September 17, when the rapper was arrested and taken into custody in Manhattan.

The arrest stemmed from a March 2024 raid on Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami. The raid was conducted by Homeland Security in connection with a federal sex trafficking case. Multiple pieces of evidence were confiscated, including laptops, flash drives, and anything connecting Combs with the allegations.

Since his September arrest, Sean Diddy Combs has been housed at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial. During the past several months, numerous new claims have been made against Combs. Prosecutors have identified multiple victims and witnesses willing to testify against Combs, who has consistently denied all charges.

The upcoming Diddy trial is deemed to become one of the biggest celebrity trials since OJ Simpson. However, fans are voicing their disappointment over the trial’s camera and live stream ban, taking to Reddit to vent.

“Is there a way we, the people, could demand a public trial? This case is too big to be behind doors,” asks one Reddit user.

“They put the OJ trial on TV and the Depp trial on TV. I was looking forward to this,” complains another. “Federal law bans cameras, “adds one more. “No cameras allowed, due to Federal Rule 53.“

But thanks to the ABC News podcast series, fans will get all the latest details and information straight out of the courtroom as it happens each day. However, for most, it is not quite as satisfying as watching Sean Diddy Combs sweat it out in front of the judge.
