inZOI Developer Confirms Price and Road Map, but Some Sims 4 Fans Aren’t Too Happy: ‘Too Much for a New Game That Doesn’t Look Fun’

There is no need to fight

On March 18, the inZOI team had their Online Showcase. In the livestream, there was some great news, like more details about the game, but what caught everyone’s attention was the price part, as well as the DLC and updates that will be coming to inZOI. So, sim game lovers are very excited about the release of this particular game. However, some fans of one of the most popular games of this genre, The Sims 4, reacted negatively to this news.

I’ve seen the graphics but nothing about this game looks fun. The characters don’t seem to have personality. I understand it was expensive to make, but they’ve got to do more to justify that $40 launch price in my eyes pic.twitter.com/KdBbkg1BKq

After the livestream, many shared their opinions about what inZOI is bringing when it releases, but specifically, fans are happy with the price, especially considering how all the DLC will be free. Besides the fact that inZOI has a lot more mechanics and content from the start in its “base version,” the devs take a lot of feedback from their players to add new systems. However, over on X, one particular user did not react positively to inZOI costing $40:

The sims has spent years building up a reputation. Regardless of how we feel about TS4, EA gave us YEARS of fun games before they entered this super expensive era. $40 is too much for a NEW game that doesn’t look fun.

It’s okay that this person doesn’t like inZOI and is a fan of The Sims 4, although their words were pretty harsh. Besides other comments trying to make a point, this person continued to argue with everyone. Among the most prominent remarks in favor of inZoi was that it would cost $40 for a complete game with the promise of long-term improvements. Meanwhile, each DLC for The Sims 4 costs about the same. Others also mentioned that The Sims 4 base game is very limited, compared to inZOI, where, for example, players can go to work without the need for DLC.

Everyone is free to have their own preferences, but if you disagree, there is no need to start a war in the comments to force others to think the same way. Or, maybe, the best thing is to just enjoy the best of what both games offer, right?
