Various Chappell Roan songs are about being in a relationship with someone who genuinely enjoys being around you. As the star’s risen through the celebrity ranks as a performer, she’s been both strictly watched and highly scrutinized. For a short time there, I thought we were going to lose the singer when fans crossed the line and began visiting her family members at their workplace. It makes sense that she’d want to keep things private moving forward. So, when she revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she was in a relationship and “very in love,” it definitely caught her fans a little off-guard.
Hosted by Alex Cooper, Call Her Daddy revolves around diving deep into a celebrity’s current stage in life. So, when Chappell was scheduled to appear on the show, there was no doubt that she would be hit with hard questions. Cooper asked the Hot To Go singer if she was single, with the latter replying that she wasn’t. In fact, she’s in a six-month-long relationship. When asked if the relationship was casual, she responded,
“It’s serious cause I’m very in love. But I am pro single! Everyone should be single!”
During the conversation, Cooper probed Roan on the relationship, specifically focusing on how the latter dates now that she’s so famous. It was then that the singer also revealed that the person she was dating happened to be someone she’s dated before. So, with that context, it’s safe to say that this person isn’t a celebrity.
Considering the length of the relationship, Chappell has done an excellent job keeping things under wraps until this point. However, because she said nothing at all, I’m curious to know if we’ll learn anything more about her relationship shortly. I’d like to think that she’ll show off her partner, but I would also understand wanting to keep their identity a secret. Fans can be insane, and I wouldn’t want their lives to be put in danger just because they’re dating a celebrity.
