As for Gomez, she had the opposite reaction. The Emilia Perez star got shy after realizing all eyes were on her and Blanco. She covered her face in embarassment before waving to fans. She raised her left hand, so her engagement ring could clearly be seen on the jumbotron. It marked the latest time fans caught a glimpse of the jewelry since the couple got engaged in December.

The speculation arose after Bieber appeared to shade Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s relationship on his Instagram Story with a Lord of the Rings meme. His post featured a clip of Gollum alongside the caption, “Girls on social media when they get engaged.”
Since Gomez and Blanco’s engagement is still fresh, fans instantly assumed he was dissing the Disney Channel alum by implying she had made her engagement her entire personality. They didn’t understand why he would shade her since Bieber’s wife, Hailey Bieber, also flaunted her ring following their engagement in 2018.
Following the drama, the singer confused fans by liking and then unliking a photo of Gomez and Blanco on Instagram. His social media activity made people believe that he still hadn’t fully moved on from his relationship with Gomez.
Fans are praising Gomez for not letting Bieber’s behavior prevent her from flaunting her ring in public. They said she was “glowing” while attending game with Blanco. They even joked that seeing Gomez with her ring on the jumbotron must be driving Bieber crazy. “Justin is crying,” one person said.
