Sean Diddy Combs and Jennifer Lopez’s dirty past looks as if it will soon come back to haunt the former couple. The stress is mounting for the disgraced rapper and his legal team as his May 12 trial date rapidily approaches. If the prosecution has its way, Diddy and JLo could soon be reunited in the courtroom, which could potentially cause many issues for both.
There is one person Sean Diddy Combs’ lawyers do not want to see in court testifying during his upcoming trial. That is Jennifer Lopez. JLo’s history with Diddy left the diva allegedly with a ton of damning information on the music mogal. Information that reportedly has his attorneys concerned. It would be disastrous for Combs and possibly even Jennifer Lopez if it were revealed.
According to the Daily Mail reports, Diddy and JLo’s 1999 involvement in the Club New York incident could play a key role in the trial. Combs was accused of firing a gun that left three people injured.
As previously reported, both Jennifer Lopez and Sean Diddy Combs were arrested. However, JLo was not charged, and Diddy was acquitted. So what does this have to do with Sean Diddy Combs’ current legal issues? Everything in Combs’ life is seemingly tied together. His lawyers are currently fighting to exclude the 1997 Lopez and Combs incident from the May trial.
Diddy and his legal team fear that past accusations could be detrimental to the rapper during the May trial. Recent court documents filed show Sean Diddy Combs is not only hoping to keep Jennifer Lopez out of court. But, also seeking to exclude the notorious video of him allegedly beating his ex, Cassie Ventura, from the case.

Sean Diddy Combs is currently facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. However, Diddy continues to maintain his innocence on all charges.
“The strategy is transparent. All the government really seeks to do is show that Mr. Combs is a violent, dangerous, and deviant person who deserves to be locked up. Regardless of whether it can actually prove the somewhat technical elements of the charged offenses beyond a reasonable doubt. This strategy should not be allowed,” states Diddy’s lawyer.
With all of Diddy’s alleged past aggressions coming to light, Jennifer Lopez’s inner circle reportedly fears her past chaos resurfacing. Jennifer Lopez is not the only celebrity A-lister whose anxiety is building as the Diddy trial grows near.
Recent news reports reveal the infamous Sean Diddy Combs’ Freak-Off videos could also make their way into the trial as a major piece of evidence. The names on the list include Jennifer Lopez, Ashton Kutcher, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Others ranking high on the list include Jay-Z, Beyonce, Will Smith, Justin Bieber, and Usher, to name only a few.
Needless to say, those following the Diddy drama are anxiously awaiting the other shoe to drop. They can’t wait to find out which celebrities could be next in line to face the music.
