They’re no longer together, with initial reports of their breakup surfacing earlier this month, but what went wrong? An insider recently commented on the breakup to Life&Style, noting that their romance sort of just fizzled out, but they still love each other.

Malek and Corrin were first linked in July 2023 when they were seen attending a Bruce Springsteen concert. The couple were extremely private, choosing to protect their relationship from the media. Still, they were spotted on various outings and occasionally photographed together at public events, such as the Venice Film Festival in August 2024 and the EE BAFTA Film Awards Dinner in February 2024.
The Mr. Robot actor shared his feelings in an interview with The Guardian when he referred to Corrin as his “partner” and described them (Corrin’s preferred pronouns) as “fascinating” and admitted he liked “quirky.” It’s not exactly an open love letter to his relationship, but it does provide fans with the smallest of details.
Corrin has previously discussed their sexuality and relationship preference, telling Vogue in 2022, “I like people.” Corrin has dated men and women and reflected on their first date with a woman in the interview, saying the experience was “amazing,” despite nothing more coming from it. Now, the Life&Style source is claiming, “There was no major drama or falling out. They didn’t grow apart. Their situation just changed.” They added that the former pair didn’t want their breakup to be “this big thing,” and they have ended their relationship amicably.
“Rami and Emma get each other, the love is still there, it’s just shifted, which is why we believe them when they say they’ll remain friends,” a source shared.
No specifics have been provided, and the reasons are unclear. Although not listed as a factor in their split, it is worth noting that the pair has a considerable age difference, with Corrin being 29 and Malek being 43. It is also possible that they are at different stages of their lives.
