While the world celebrated Mother’s Day, Kristen Bell’s parenting skills became a subject of criticism after her daughter called her a “b**ch.” Bell shares two daughters with Dax Shepard, and for this year’s celebration, she received a letter from one of her daughters containing a vulgar word. The Good Place star took to her Instagram to show off the gift. The first photo displayed the card’s cover, which read, “Happy Father’s Day, Mom.” The following slide unveiled the message on the inside of the card. It read, “Mom, I love you so much! To the moon and back! Happy Mother’s Day, you creative and consiterate[sic] b–tch!”
Adding a sweet touch to the card, her child sketched herself holding her mom’s hands inside a heart shape. The proud mom captioned the post, “Best card anyone has ever given or gotten.”
Within minutes, the post garnered attention from fans who openly slammed the actress for letting her child use foul words. One fan criticized, “One of the WORST Hollywood mothers–who also openly provides these facts to the media.”
Another netizen questioned, “What kind of parents are proud to share a foul-mouthed Mother’s Day card? Who are the adults in this family?”
A third critic concluded that using vulgar words was the norm for the family. “The parents probably speak directly to their kids using those terms, so the initial shock of hearing it spoken at home is over.”

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are no strangers to making headlines for their unique parenting choices.
Months before the Mother’s Day post, Shepard dropped a shocking revelation about his parenting style, admitting to being naked around his kids. Per the Daily Mail, the Running Point actor disclosed that one of his daughters made a joke about his private part.
He said, “You know, our older daughter asks, why do you and daddy’s birds — it’s universal in my house, it can be male or female— why do you and daddy’s bird look so old?” The 48-year-old actor then shared that his family is not bothered by nakedness.
“We are not hung up on [expletive] in my family,” Shepard admitted before recalling scenes where his daughter had seen him naked. “My 11-year-old, who is going on 15, she’ll come into my bathroom when I’m coming out of my shower and will look at me and go, ‘Ugh.’”
Although the actor agreed that parents should stop being naked around kids once puberty hits, he added that he would let his kids make the decision.
