In a playful clip shared by Antonoff on X, formerly known as Twitter, the two joyfully belted out Swift’s 2017 hit “Getaway Car.” The longtime collaborators danced around a kitchen, clearly savoring the celebratory moment.
Clutching her cat, Meredith, in one arm, Swift belted out lyrics with Antonoff by her side. She looked every bit the glowing artist reclaiming her past. “Rep forever guilt-free listening!” Antonoff captioned the post, a cheeky nod to Swifties everywhere who have been eagerly awaiting her re-recorded “Reputation (Taylor’s Version).”
The sing-along came just hours after Billboard reported that Swift had successfully bought back the rights to her first six albums from private equity firm Shamrock Capital. It’s the same catalog that was sold off without her input in 2019. According to the outlet, the deal cost the pop icon around $360 million, a staggering figure, but one she was apparently more than willing to pay.
