This Isn’t Whoopi Goldberg’s First Trump Feud
Goldberg is no stranger to controversy, especially when it comes to Donald Trump. Over the years, she has repeatedly criticized the president on The View, often using harsh language to describe him and his supporters.
In 2016, during Trump’s presidential campaign, Goldberg vowed to leave the country if he was elected. She later walked back the comment but remained one of his most vocal celebrity critics.
In 2018, she made headlines after getting into a shouting match with former Fox News host Jeanine Pirro on The View, reportedly telling Pirro to “get the f-ck out of this building” off-camera after a segment that turned personal and political. She has also accused Trump of fueling racism and white supremacy during his time in office, saying in 2019, “He doesn’t care about the people who aren’t like him.”
Goldberg’s recent claim struck a particular nerve among conservative viewers, many of whom are now calling for her removal from the long-running ABC talk show. As of now, Goldberg has not issued a statement in response to the backlash, and The View has yet to comment on the controversy.
