Katy Perry has been mocked for her latest street look as she’s spotted carrying around a book while in New York City. The singer, 40, headed out in the Big Apple this week, looking stylish in wide-legged jeans and a knotted shirt as she enjoyed a solo outing.
Photographed in the wake of her Orlando Bloom split, Katy turned heads just days after making headlines for winding up in hot water. The pop star, who released her “Lifetimes” track last year, has finally been hit with a fine for shooting her song’s music video in a protected nature space in Spain. Per reports, Katy and her production team did not get permission from the local Majorca authorities to use the space. The result was a fine equating to close to $7,000.

Looking trendy in a blue pair of jeans with ’90s vibes, Katy highlighted her super-slim figure in a knotted white shirt worn over a tight top. Displaying the weight loss she began making headlines for nearly two years ago, the mom of one rocked black Gucci loafers to match her leather belt, looking super-chic as she enjoyed the NYC sunshine.
Katy wore her dark hair down and a pair of slightly tinted eyeglasses, completing her outfit with a cross-body purse in black. The images, shared by Backgrid, garnered mixed reviews. Fined For Video In Protected Wilderness Area
Per The Daily Mail, Katy’s production company was hit with a fine in the sum of €6,001. In July 2024, Katy used the Ses Salines Natural Park on the Balearic Islands for her “Lifetimes” video, making headlines for stripping down to a two-piece as she shared Instagram photos from her video.
The outlet further reports that Katy did not obtain a permit from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Natural Environment. The American Idol alum had already made headlines for her oops moment, but she had yet to be fined. Katy has not made a statement since news of her fine broke earlier this week. The singer has, however, made plenty of summer 2025 headlines. In July, she and 48-year-old Orlando Bloom confirmed that their nine-year relationship was over. The former couple share daughter Daisy Dove, born in 2020.
