Millie Bobby Brown was trending on X this week after the shock reveal that she’s become a mother. The actress, 21, updated her Instagram ahead of the weekend with a confirmation that she and husband Jake Bongiovi have welcomed their “baby girl,” with the statement also confirming that the 2024-married couple went down the adoption route.
Millie, who’d made no mention of the bombshell news ahead of dropping it on IG, disabled comments on her share, one expressly asking for “privacy.” The British star, who has mostly made summer headlines for stripping down on beaches and promoting her various brands, earned over 180,000 likes in just 15 minutes. Millie has, in the past, opened up about wanting to have kids. She’s never mentioned adoption, though.

In her statement, the Stranger Things star wrote:
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.” She added: “And then there were 3, Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.” Millie did not clarify whether Love is her daughter’s name.
Millie made May 2024 headlines for shocking the world with her surprise wedding to model Jake. The couple later had a lavish, official wedding, with highly publicized photos of Millie in her four gorgeous wedding dresses. Since tying the knot, the two have shown off a rock-solid marriage, with Jake often appearing in Millie’s Instagram posts. The couple met in 2021 and got engaged in 2023.
Set Herself A ‘Timeline’ For Becoming A Mom
In March, Millie spoke out on the subject of motherhood.
“I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she stated.
