Restaurants are supposed to welcome all people without discriminating against any group. Despite this, some restaurants can be pretty racist. If you, as a restaurant owner, won’t treat all customers equally regardless of their race, then you shouldn’t be in this business in the first place. A Los Angeles Asian woman was left shocked after visiting a restaurant called Great White. She sat there for a while and began to notice that everyone seated in the corner where she was sitting was also Asian. To prove her point, she pointed her camera toward the tables on her right and left sides. The two tables had Asians. This made her write on the top of the video, “Am I tripping or are they being racist?”
The Los Angeles woman then pointed out that those sitting in the main seating area are predominantly white people. On another corner in the restaurant, there were only Asian people sitting there as well. Despite this evidence, she still decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. When a table next to her became empty, she said that if the next party that sits there is made up of Asians, then that would confirm her theory. Well, guess what? They made Asian people sit there. The same thing happened when another table in the corner was emptied. She wasn’t imagining things. “Maybe they’re embarrassed of us,” she said after leaving the restaurant. This appears to be intentional, based on watching that video.
People Reacting to the Racist Los Angeles Restaurant
Almost everyone agreed with the Los Angeles woman that the restaurant was being racist. Since they separated Asians from White people, one person wrote, “segregation.” This made another person reply and joke, “SegreASIAN.” It turned out that the woman wasn’t imagining things at all. The restaurant is, in fact, racist since one person wrote, “I looked up their yelp reviews and they have one from a year ago saying the same thing.” Another person also looked at the restaurant’s reviews in three different locations. “Correction at another location two other reviews said the same thing… one them probably was just a coincidence but if you have three different locations with atleast one comment saying they were being discriminatory towards Asians……ya that’s not a coincidence,” they said.
Others kept commenting on how it was obvious that the Los Angeles restaurant was racist. One person pointed out how the name itself made it clear that the restaurant owners are racist. “Not the name of this restaurant being the Great WHITE lol,” they wrote. This made a lot of people agree, as another person replied and said, “Dead giveaway!!! They not even close to pretending.” Someone else wrote, “First red flag smh ppl truly don’t think these days.” A woman then shared her own experience with the restaurant as she said, “My boyfriend is Korean and they put us on the corner both times we went omg maybe you’re on to something.” There is nothing that can make them deny all these claims.
