In a wild turn of events at a Los Angeles, California, gym, a woman became furious after spotting a man in the women’s locker room. This incident, which took place at Gold’s Gym, ultimately cost her gym membership. In a video posted on X, the woman could be seen in her gym wear as she screamed, “grown man, with big [expletive] in a women’s locker room and that’s why I’m getting kicked out.”
She paced around angrily, insisting that everyone had seen the man in the locker room yet chose to stay silent. Her frustration only grew louder as she continued to rant. In another scene, a man was seen confronting the individual spotted in the women’s locker room. From behind the camera, the woman could be heard shouting again, “Oh, now you know how to be a man,” emphasizing that the person should stay out of the women’s space. The man eventually walked away while the woman kept yelling in anger. According to the video’s caption, the woman was identified as Tish Hyman. “Today, he saw me walk into the women’s room, followed me in, and called me an [expletive.] I ran out into the locker room crying and screaming,” the caption detailed Hyman’s words.
In another TikTok video, Hyman gave her own detailed account of the incident. “I just had the worst experience ever at the gym,” she began, explaining that she believes similar incidents happen all over America. She recalled that the person she encountered was a trans woman who entered the women’s locker room and saw her completely naked. “It’s really awful. How you’re gonna say you want to be a woman, yet you don’t care how women feel?” she questioned.
According to Hyman, when she confronted the individual, the response was, “Don’t [expletive] talk to me, I’m a woman, I have the right to be in here.” She expressed anger over the situation and even suggested that gyms should consider building separate restrooms for trans individuals. The comment section was in support of Hyman.
“How do people think that men’s feelings mean more than women’s rights?” one person asked. “We are living in an upside down world,” another person stated firmly. Referring to the system, one user noted, “This is exactly why people want clearer policies. If women don’t feel safe, something’s wrong with the system, not with them speaking up.”
Another user wrote, “A woman stood for her privacy and got punished for it. Every company enforcing this madness is complicit in erasing women.” Someone else commented angrily, “It’s not ok. Period. It’s a safety issue. And I’m mad no one defended you at the gym.” Driving the point home, another person added, “No one should ever have to choose between safety and inclusion. ⚖️ True equality protects everyone’s dignity; that’s how trust is built. 🕊️”
One comment summed up the frustration shared by many, “Our feelings don’t matter anymore, only theirs. Our safety isn’t important but theirs is. They are taking away a woman’s value.”
