There are many reasons why people choose to ride Uber or Lyft. One of these reasons should be expecting that they would get to their destination safely. Well, this almost didn’t happen with a Florida woman who was left shaken after a Lyft ride she got. She shared a video of her inside the Lyft and the car was stopped. There is nothing wrong so far, but the issue was where exactly the female driver stopped the car. She stopped on the train tracks. Yes, you read that correctly. To make matters worse, the driver didn’t understand English. Of course, the woman was terrified. She even wrote on top of the video, “Ain’t no [expletive] way this Lyft driver stopped on the train tracks with me in the back seat!”
During the rest of the video, the Florida woman was panicking. It wasn’t clear why the driver stopped on the tracks, but she definitely shouldn’t have done that. “You gotta get off the tracks,” the woman told her. “Go! Back up and get off the tracks,” she continued. The driver looked like she didn’t understand anything that was being said. She even looked back at the woman with confusion on her face and said something that didn’t sound like English. In her state of panic, the passenger started saying weird words as if she were speaking the woman’s language. “Backaroco rocoroso,” were the words she said.
The passenger then filmed the train tracks while saying “any second” hinting at how a train was getting near where they were stopped. She then started pointing at the road in front of them and telling the driver to go this way. Finally, the driver moved off the tracks, but she for sure left the woman terrified for her life. She mentioned Lyft in her caption and wrote, “Y’all need to make sure the ppl you hiring know how to speak and read English, this lady stopped on the train tracks, if I wasn’t paying attention something could of happen! I need a refund asap.” She has a right to be upset. After all, her life was in danger.
People Reacting to the Florida Woman’s Video
A lot of people were upset on behalf of the Florida woman after they watched her video. Many agreed that the driver should be reported, which is why one person said, “I’d got out the car immediately. She needs to get reported.” Another person tried to defend the driver by saying that there was no train coming. “In the video the train never comes and isn’t visible neither are flashing lights or a barrier . I can’t figure out why this woman is freaking out,” they wrote. This made one person reply, “It’s common sense to not stay on the tracks whether it’s a train coming or not . I thought we all knew that.” The driver is definitely in the wrong here. Someone else then said, “ZERO STARS SHE TRIED TO TAKE YOU OUT SIS.”
Others made fun of the Florida woman’s situation, especially since they weren’t in her shoes. Some joked at how she started saying random words in the hope that the driver would understand her. “Backaroco rocoroso ??? LMFAOOOOO,” one person wrote. Another person left a comment saying, “Backaroco rocoroso! I’m in [expletive] tearsss.” One woman even said, “You started casting spells.” Another woman added, “Girl started speaking in tongues.” If I were in the same situation, I would have started inventing words too, as long as they got me out of there. Some people also wondered why she didn’t just get out of the car. That’s why the passenger explained that she couldn’t get out because there was traffic right outside the car. It’s a good thing that she was safe in the end.
