Lately, there’s been a surge of stories about people finding unwanted surprises in their food. This can happen whether you’re dining out at a restaurant or unboxing a product from the grocery store. It turned out that not only humans are suffering from this. A California woman was left disgusted after she bought a bag of Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach for her dog. She made the mistake of opening the bag while it was upside down, but thanks to this she saved her dog from a terrible situation. Once she opened the bag, she discovered that the kibble was filled with worms that were pretty much alive.
In the California woman’s video, she showed the inside of the open bag and the first thing you see is how the bag had webs inside it. They are definitely not supposed to be there. That wasn’t the worst thing. She then zoomed in and you could clearly see several worms moving across the kibble. “This is horrible,” the dog owner said which is understandable. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time that the same thing happened to her with Purina. It has allegedly happened before and instead of fixing the situation, Purina accused her of storing the bag wrongly. They should have done something the first time. Just like she pointed out, if she didn’t notice the worms, her dogs would have been eating infested food for a month.
People Reacting to the California Woman’s Video
A lot of people sided with the California woman after seeing her video. Many even claimed that Purina is, in fact, terrible. “Purina Dog food is bad‼! They want you to have to go to the vet!” one person wrote. Another person also claimed that this worm issue happens a lot with Purina, as they said, “That’s an on going issue with purina. It’s one of the worst brands.” Others then started mentioning how even pet store employees know that the brand is bad. “A clerk at Petco told me Purina dog food is equivalent to McDonalds,” someone said. A pet store employee then shared, “I’ve worked in a pet store for 8-9 years and Purina is the only brand I’ve had people bring back food like that.”
Not all people agreed with the California woman, though. There were a lot of comments that defended Purina saying that they never faced any similar issue. “Ive used purina for 9+ years how are yall finding this stuff mine are always fine. Its gotta be the way yalls is stored or the manufacturers around you,” one person wrote. Another person said, “I’ve been buying it for 3 years and I have never had those issues.” Someone also pointed out that such a thing isn’t surprising anymore in America. “if that is America I’m not surprised ,what’s not rotten in America ?? chicken in cans ,grocery store full of unhealthy food ,that’s not a surprise,” they commented. Hopefully, this was simply a storage issue and not something that would harm any pets.
