TV actress Charlotte Stewart, best known as Eva Beadle Simms on Little House on the Prairie, had quite a crazy life before settling on the prairie. Who would have ever imagined that the wholesome school teacher families tuned in to see each week was really a hard partying companion of the Doors’ frontman, Jim Morrison?

Charlotte Stewart reveals that her time with Jim Morrison took place five years before her role on Little House. It is a story that takes place in a very different era, during the late 60s and early 70s.

Now 84, Stewart tells Fox News Digital about one of her wildest stories. At that time, she ran Liquid Butterfly, a clothing shop, where she first met Jim Morrison.

Stewart described her relationship with Jim Morrison as a friendship. Well, it was a little more than that. It was a friends-with-benefits kind of relationship. She says what began as casual companionship soon turned into a surprising adventure.

In 1969, Charlotte reveals Jim reached out to her following his Miami scandal in which he allegedly exposed himself on stage. “He said, ‘I gotta get out of town. You want to go?’” Stewart said. Jim didn’t have to ask twice, and they immediately took off on a spontaneous road trip up California’s Highway 1. They spent their days and nights stopping at bars and motels and having the time of their lives.

The ’70s Were Wild Times For Jim Morrison and Charlotte Stewart

According to the Daily Mail, Morrison and Stewart spent four days For four days, filming their journey on Super 8 cameras. The Little House star recalls Jim was practically unrecognisable with a full beard and dishevelled appearance.

“He looked like a bum,” Stewart admitted, laughing softly. The drinking, the spontaneity, and the free-flowing love were a sign of the times. It was a simple and carefree relationship. Stewart emphasises the trust Morrison placed in her during a dark period. Facing legal battles and public scrutiny, he relied on her for companionship without expectation. “I didn’t want anything from him. He trusted me because I was just a friend,” Stewart said.

“I didn’t want him to be my boyfriend. I didn’t want to marry him. All I wanted was to be his friend. He drank like I drank at that time. So we became trusted friends. He could count on me,” Stewart stated.

Morrison never faced prison. Sadly, he passed away at 27 in Paris before his Florida verdict was enforced. Charlotte Stewart admits she was devastated by the news but grateful for the fleeting connection they shared.

“I was very lucky. I got to work with the best,” she said, reflecting on both her Hollywood career and the unforgettable detour with the legendary Lizard King. It sounds like quite the adventure. But who would have ever thought of putting Jim Morrison of the Doors with Charlotte Stewart, aka Miss Beadle?

“More stories like this, plz! Who would have thought ?!?, ” one commenter states.

“Really interesting story, what a time to be alive! Beats today,” another adds.

“That is a truly awesome/epic story about Jim. He appreciated her as he was becoming REALLY famous. It’s sad she/no one else could save Jim from his spiral,” one more chimes in.”

Today, at 84, Charlotte Stewart recalls her memories and relationship with Jim Morrison as one of her most cherished memories of her youth. These days, her wilder side is pretty much behind her. As for Little House on the Prairie. Stewart will reunite with 16 members of the cast and crew during a three-day celebration held at Strathearn Historical Park in Simi Valley, CA, from December 12-14, where tickets cost between $30-$850.
