Despite his kennel being hundreds of yards away from his neighbors, a dog trainer in Utah is being sued. Apparently, the sound of dogs barking is too much to handle, and the legal action is threatening to close the kennel for good.
The man getting sued is Ryker Albrecht, owner of Double R Stockdogs in Southern Utah. He explained in a TikTok video that he and his business, a dog training facility, were served with a lawsuit by his angry neighbors. According to him, he is being sued over “barking dogs.”
“People are suing us either to shut us down or make us build a fully soundproof enclosure,” Ryker explained. “Wondering if any of you guys ever had to go through this, what your thoughts are on it. If you went through it, let me know how your situation went.”
The Utah man then explained that the people living around his kennel are located more than 330 yards away. He added that the facility is agricultural grounds and that the dogs are for agricultural use. Using a drone, he then showed the ceiling of the facility and the location in general. It was pretty obvious that the kennel was significantly secluded from the neighbors.
“Please, share, like, follow. Let us know what you think about this,” Ryker concluded as two of his dogs began hugging and smooching him.
Users React To The Lawsuit
Over a thousand users commented on the video, reacting to what they claim is a frivolous lawsuit.
“You have a kennel license, you are good! Judge will dismiss it,” a user said. Another one commented, “Smells like someone wants that property.” A third one added, “It is your property should be able to do what you want on it. I really don’t think they have a leg to stand on!“
Many others offered legal advice to Ryker, encouraging him to file a motion to dismiss and act cautiously. Some even theorized that the neighbors suing him come from the city and recently moved into the country. Regardless of their motivations, it appears that this Utah man will fight back to protect his business and dogs.
