Marathon Unveils Its Release Date And Three Editions You Can Pre-Order

We’ve all been eagerly waiting for Marathon to launch, and while we had an estimated release window, we now have an official release date, and it is much closer than we thought. But that’s not all, as beyond announcing when we’ll get our hands on these bio-cybernetic Runners, Bungie has also announced three editions for Marathon that you can pre-order right now, each one with specific goodies for you to show up once you’re inside Tau Ceti IV.

Marathon Sets Its Release Date for March 5, 2026

We all knew Marathon would release sometime in March, but now we have an official date, and it is on March 5, 2026. That means we’re only a couple of weeks away from jumping into this extraction shooter, which, beyond promising many of the staples of the genre, is innovating in several other aspects to make it a unique experience for newcomers and veterans alike.

Those who are eager to secure their access to Marathon can pre-order the game right now in any of the three editions that Bungie has unveiled.

After all the wait, the speculation, the AR puzzles, and more, we’ll finally get another extraction shooter, and one that has come a long way from its initial reveal to what we’ll get to play.
