A furious father in White Center, Washington, took to the internet to reveal that his young son was taken to an anti-ICE protest by his middle school, without his consent. The angry dad called this an act of indoctrination and is planning to sue the school district.
The father in question, Vance Glaw, whose TikTok handle is modern_ragnar_1.0, revealed in a clip that his son was at an ICE protest. According to him, his son was the one to inform him, saying that his school, Cascade Middle School, brought him and his classmates to protest the law enforcement agency.
“Who the [expletive] said you could bring my child to a protest? Any of our kids to a protest?” a livid Vance said.
On the way to the school, the Washington father explained that White Center, a census-designated place, is commonly referred to as “Rat City.” According to him, Rat City is not a safe city for children, let alone a safe city to bring children to anti-ICE protests, which oftentimes turn violent.
Vance arrived at the middle school, and his son was already back from the unannounced field trip. He pointed out what he described as “furry teachers on their bikes,” labeling it “craziness.”
The Washington father’s son entered the vehicle. When asked if he consented to being brought to a protest, the young boy said that “he didn’t want to.” Vance then said that he was planning to attend the next school board meeting, ready to speak his mind.
Reactions, Lawsuit, Threats
Sharing Vance’s anger, many users bashed the school for the student protest. One user said, “I would lawyer up now! No consent from a parent. Definitely not legal.” Another one said, “Sounds like child endangerment.” A third one added, “Liberalism is out of control.”
In a follow-up video, Vance showed an email from Cascade Middle School, informing of the student protest after-the-fact. Then, he revealed that he had been receiving threats and announced that he was suing the Highline School District in Washington. To that end, he set up a GiveSendGo fundraiser.
Unfortunately, Vance detailed in an update that his son is unable to go back to his middle school. He claimed that the young boy is receiving threats after his video went viral. Therefore, the Washington father is now looking to relocate his family.
