Nobody likes a bad neighbor. I feel like there’s nothing worse than waking up every day uneasy because you aren’t sure what kind of trouble your neighbor will cause. It’s even worse when that neighbor actually takes action. A California man was shocked to discover that his neighbors allegedly broke apart a piece of his driveway in an effort to contain it within the property line.

It’s already an insane gesture to try to convince your neighbor that the driveway that’s already been placed is two inches on their property. I can’t imagine what it must have felt like to see the damage and know that it is for such a ridiculous reason.

The above TikTok video shows off the lengths that an angry neighbor will go to try to prove they’re right. It appears that a California man had some personal struggles with his neighbor, prompting him to go on the journey of building a fence along his home’s property line. Unfortunately, this didn’t bode well with his neighbor, who reportedly decided to take aggressive action to stop him.

You can see that a part of the homeowner’s driveway looks to have been demolished by a jackhammer, with only pieces and chunks of concrete left. However, the job also looks to not be done, insinuating that the neighbor was likely going to come back and finish the job. Fortunately, the homeowner decided to call both the police and someone from the city to try to resolve the issue.

In response to this, the city official decided to drill a survey marker into the sidewalk to determine where the property line started. However, the homeowner alleges that the marker was removed by the unruly neighbor. Fortunately, it looks as though the police were able to arrive to get things in order.

According to footage from a different video posted to the same account, the neighbor was allegedly arrested and released on bail. Footage also shows that the property line did end up being laid out, and, according to the markers placed, the homeowner has a lot more land than he thought.

Commenters were quick to jump into the replies and give their opinion on the video, with many of them being to call a lawyer. One of the top comments for this said, “ALWAYS 👏🏾 PRESS 👏🏾 CHARGES 👏🏾 People who do wild stuff like this didn’t just start doing it. They were never caught and held accountable.“

Another person laid out the problem a little more plainly, saying, “Removing survey markers is a felony.” Unfortunately, it looks like the homeowner still has a long way to go when it comes to this dispute, but it looks to definitely be headed in a positive direction.
