A Connecticut TikToker who runs The Oz Vlog shares behind-the-scenes footage of a recent ICE Out protest she attended. Her channel is primarily Oz-centric, but she posted a special video detailing her experiences. This is in response to several questions regarding a protest video she shared on her stories.

The first clip shows her walking in the snow and talking to someone off-camera, “You’re my neighbor too, sweetheart. And I love you.” The voices off-camera tell her that they don’t want to be her neighbor. She replies, “Well, then move.” She went live for about forty minutes.

I have been getting a lot of questions about the footage I posted from the recent “music festival” I attended. Here’s the whole story. #theozvlog #musicfestival #usa #america #tiktoklive @NinthNick

In the live, she explains what they were doing there and why. The video shows other protestors with signs reading, “Save Democracy. We have a Constitution. Not a king.” The Connecticut TikToker shares that, “I encourage everyone, no matter what side of the aisle you’re on, to get out there and peacefully protest.”

She continues that everyone has the right to “practice their First Amendment rights.” The Connecticut TikToker describes how, “at one point, one of [her] neighbors came up behind her and said: We have agitators.” Her response, “They’re practicing their First Amendment rights just like we are. Ignore them. It’s fine.” Many of the neighbors present are elderly people who aren’t “used to these types.”

Connecticut TikToker Has Heated Exchange

The Connecticut TikToker explains that the agitators began creeping up from their side of the block. She then overheard “a male voice yelling at one of [her] female neighbors” to shut up, which triggered her to act. She attempts to “approach everyone with peace and love and kindness,” as shown in the video. The TikToker explains, “I’m a Sicilian woman, and when [she] gets served bully energy, sometimes the Sicilian dragon lady within [her] comes out.”

She tells an unseen man, “Don’t talk about my neighbors like that.” He replies that he didn’t care about her neighbors. Her response is, “I know you don’t. That’s the problem.” The Connecticut TikToker shares that the agitators present were “kids with Trump signs.”

Although she explains, “They didn’t actually have a message.” They persistently yelled at her neighbor to get a reaction. The interaction ends with her expressing, “My instinct was to pull him aside and say, as a mom, don’t do this. Don’t film yourself harassing old ladies.” The video ends with her singing the theme from Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, “It’s a beautiful day in our neighborhood.”
