A South Carolina teacher, Kaitlyn Biernacki, jumped on a wholesome trend with a video of her guessing her students’ voices. The teacher runs a popular TikTok channel, myclassroomdiaries, that documents daily life in a second-grade classroom. The trend has students lining up behind her, with each saying, “Hello, Miss Biernacki.” Each time, she guesses correctly, which receives laughter and shock from the students.
The rules are simple: the teacher must not look at the students, and each one says the same line. The South Carolina teacher has no problem guessing. She assures them that “I’m just going to face this way. I can’t see you.” One student causes her to hesitate before guessing his name, but she still gets it right. He can be heard going, “Oh my God!”
While the students’ voices are all that can be heard, their personalities are evident, from Sage’s quiet voice to Ethan’s more exuberant one. The latter has everyone laughing with his rendition of, “Hello, Miss Biernacki,” said with great gusto. The next student is shocked when she guesses his name correctly and shouts, “Huh! You’re mind-reading!” From there, the South Carolina teacher is on a roll, guessing names amid giggles from behind her. Only a few times does she have to shush them.
South Carolina Teacher Can’t Be Tricked
One second grader even tries to be sneaky by just saying, “Hello.” However, Biernacki still knows who it is: “I know it’s Chris, but you’re supposed to say the whole thing.” Another student tries to outsmart her by talking really quietly. But when the South Carolina teacher has them repeat the statement, she immediately recognizes it and guesses, “Sutton.” The student’s reaction is adorably dramatic, exclaiming, “Dang it!” The same with Anna, who shares a similar shock, yelling, “What?” After the last student, Biernacki turns around and cheers, “I know all of your voices!” A round of applause can be heard.
The wholesome trend has everyone inspired, with one comment reading, “You know I was waiting for you to do this.” Another agrees that, “This warms my heart so so much!” While many describe the video as cute, one comment digs deeper, “Would’ve loved to feel this seen/known by my teachers!” A fellow teacher in the comments shares that she “just did this with [her] kids yesterday!” Many also note how much they loved the “you’re mind-reading” comment and appreciate the students’ excitement.
