There is a lot to be afraid of in the world nowadays, and, unfortunately, going on dates is one of them. You never really know who you could be getting to know, and sometimes, things end up going more south than you can imagine. A California woman shared that one bad date of hers ended in a potential lawsuit.

When you see the entire reason why her date is allegedly suing her, it becomes more and more clear that she is in the right. Now, the comments are filled with people giving her legal advice and condemning the man for his reported actions.

TikTok user @s.gorshok (also known as Sofia) posted the above video, explaining that a guy from a failed date she had gone on sent her a message threatening to sue her over a video she posted on the social media site. While most of Sofia’s content revolves around going on dates or performing in low-budget films, this one was a little bit different.

She explains that she went on a pretty terrible date, filmed parts of it, and later uploaded the video to TikTok. This particular video is still uploaded to her account, and details how the date quite literally said, “I’m not gonna pay the check if you’re not going to sleep with me. That doesn’t make any sense.” Of course, the conversation goes on for a lot longer than that, but it’s pretty obvious how it ends up going.

Apparently, the man whose voice you hear in the video wasn’t very happy about it and ended up messaging Sofia, threatening her with litigation if she didn’t remove the video. Sofia then turns to the internet for advice on how to move forward. Fortunately, the internet always has an answer.

California Woman Threatened With Legal Action Over TikTok Video

One commenter in particular really got into the heat of what to do, saying, “That’s coersion, which is illegal, solicitation of sexual acts for payment (dinner) which is also illegal. And video evidence makes it undeniable. You haven’t done anything wrong. He said this is public so not an illegal recording, it’s not slander or defamation, those are his words in his voice. If anything, talk to the DA and have charges brought against him.”

She posted yet another set of videos that further explain what was even said to her in the message. Honestly, there’s really just one comment that best sums up how this whole situation feels: “I would PAY GOOD MONEY to watch this go to court ❤️.” Hopefully, this gets resolved, and Sofia won’t need to worry about it again.
