As the war in the Middle East heats up, the battle for the hearts and minds of the voters stateside hasn’t slowed down, especially in Republican strongholds such as Florida. In a sharp escalation of the ongoing war of words, Senator Rick Scott of Florida issued a scathing condemnation of Democrats nationwide, labeling their recent defense of Iran as an affront to American interests. Now, Florida Democrats and Liberals have come after him on social media for what he had to say about the recent strife.
The statement comes in the wake of Democratic leaders, such as Rep. Ilhan Omar, voicing vocal opposition to the administration’s recent military actions. Florida Senator Rick Scott emphasized that the Democratic rhetoric aligns more with foreign adversaries than with the safety of the United States. He also pushed to keep funding DHS and ICE to keep America safe.
In the X post, Rick Scott left this statement.
POTUS is protecting America from the evil Iranian regime that’s spent decades targeting our country and our allies — and what are Democrats doing? Defunding DHS. The very agency that protects us here at home! Democrats need to put AMERICA FIRST and fund DHS TODAY!
This led to a wave of Republican support with a steady slate of liberal hate being flung the Senators way, and the words weren’t kind.
“You guys ready for November, Ricky boy? Democrats are looking mighty fine. I normally vote conservative, but when the DOJ protects the Epstein class, our intelligence agencies don’t work, and now we have a new war for Israel, you leave us no choice.”
“If everything is an existential threat and every vote is a loyalty test, at some point it stops sounding like strength and starts sounding like cable news cosplay.”
“I will no longer accept the Republican talking point that the DHS shutdown is the Democrats fault. Conversely, I believe this failure is entirely the fault of Senator (RINO) John Thune & Senator (RINO) Mitch McConnell who are blocking the bill against the will of >85% of America! They are desperately hiding behind the Zombie Fillibuster as a cover for their RINO TDS!!!”
“Like you are putting America first, why don’t you go back into the private sector and rip off Medicare again? I’m sure nothing will happen to you again.”
As you can see, between some of his own voters wanting more Republican action ahead of what will be a hotly contested midterms, and Democrats coming after him by bringing up the past, picking a side in this Iranian war is sowing even more division in an already divided country.
