An Arizona nurse left viewers both stunned and amused after she shared an unusual emergency room case involving a patient who came in complaining of abdominal pain. She recounted the incident in a TikTok video, explaining that the man had driven himself to the ER and was very cooperative with the medical staff as they asked him questions to determine the cause of his discomfort.
The patient admitted that he had been at a party earlier and that an object had accidentally gotten lodged inside his body. Although he told the staff what the item was, they still made him undergo imaging tests to confirm the situation before moving forward. An ultrasound and an X-ray were performed, and the scans revealed that the object was a mango.
The nurse, who seemed to be still processing the situation as she told the story, said the patient was then taken back for a procedure to safely remove the object. Medical staff successfully retrieved it, and the patient was reportedly discharged a few hours later.

A third said, “My [expletive] hurts after listening to this story. How is that even possible?,” while a fourth added, “Imagine explaining that to insurance.”
Some netizens also poked fun at the Arizona patient, with one joking, “Not the proper place to store mangoes.” Someone else chimed in, “Swallowed a mango pit and it grew into a mango.” A different commenter remarked, “He’ll back with a pineapple.”
Now, with all that said, one question people are probably still wondering about is this: did he get to keep the fruit?
