Texas Fans Demand Refunds After Kodak Black Shows Up Hours Late and Delivers Disjointed Performance: ‘He Forgot What He Was Doing There’

Texas paid good money for this

People who buy concert tickets know the deal: the artist shows up, puts on a performance, and gives everyone their money’s worth. It’s not complicated. Most musicians pull it off just fine. But every now and then, a show goes completely off the rails. Texas has seen plenty, whether it’s festivals charging way too much or artists bailing altogether and making the news. Then, on March 14, Kodak Black joined that infamous club. Let’s just say the videos from his show did him no favors.

Fans who showed up for Kodak Black’s Texas show on March 14 had to wait anywhere from three to nine hours before he finally stepped on stage. By the time he got there, the performance just didn’t make up for all that waiting.

There’s a video that blew up on X and TikTok, and if you haven’t seen it, it’s pretty wild: Kodak wanders onto the stage in a hoodie, moving awkwardly through the crowd. People look lost and confused, and it’s easy to see why.

The clip has some text layered over it, talking about how long people waited, and you see Kodak doing some half-hearted moves before heading over to the DJ booth. At that point, he is shirtless, and he barely pays attention to fans. Watching the video, you get the sense he is not really sure where he is or what he is supposed to be doing.

Refund requests blew up on social media almost as soon as those clips hit the internet. Fans who had spent hours waiting in a Texas venue are calling it the most aggravating concert night they have ever had.

Not long before, he completely missed a show in Midland thanks to a flight delay, although he did try to make up for it by performing somewhere else for free that same night. But there’s no chance for redemption after the March 14 performance.

Internet Reacts to Kodak Black’s Texas Concert Performance

The moment quickly sparked a wave of reactions online, with many viewers questioning what exactly had just happened. “He forgot what he was doing there huh?” one person wrote, reflecting the confusion many people felt watching the situation unfold.

Others were more critical of both the performer and the fans attending the show. “Shame on u for paying money to go see someone who clearly needs rehab lol,” a user commented. Another added, “I blame them because they shouldn’t be listening to Kodak in the first place.”

Some comments focused on how strange the performance appeared to viewers. “He acting like he in the audience enjoying his own concert,” one person wrote, pointing out how unusual the moment seemed from the crowd’s perspective.

Others argued that the issue has been going on for years and that both promoters and fans share responsibility. “At some point promoters need to stop booking Kodak and fans need to stop buying tickets. This has been happening for years now. You’re not paying for a concert, you’re paying for a lottery ticket on whether he shows up functional,” a comment read. Another concluded, “So people actually pay real earned money to go see Kodak Black!!!”

Texas concertgoers are known for being patient and passionate. They are loyal fans, but they pay for their tickets and expect a proper show in return. On March 14, instead of the performance they wanted, they left with a viral video and a reason to ask for their money back.
