The controversial influencer Clavicular was recently mocked online after a group of trans women accused him of copying them during one of his livestreams. The Florida influencer is known, among other things, for popularizing the term “looksmaxxing,” often described as a way to “maximize one’s physical attractiveness by extreme means.” The video was originally streamed by Clavicular, and it quickly went viral online. It was later reposted by FearBuck on X.
In the footage, a group of three trans women can be seen approaching Clavicular’s table at a restaurant. After a brief introduction, they begin arguing that “trans women are the OG looksmaxxers” due to the extreme length they go to change their appearance, and that the popular Florida influencer was copying them.
Clavicular and his friends even seem to doubt for a moment that the women are really trans, but he eventually acknowledges what they said, appearing stunned by the unexpected interaction.
Despite what the women say in the video, though, the expression “looksmaxxing” originally appeared in the incel subculture, made up mostly of cis men.
Clavicular Mocked Online After Trans Women Accuse Him of ‘Copying’ Their ‘Looksmaxxing’
The video quickly sparked mockery toward Clavicular online, with most people laughing at how funny the whole interaction was: “I’ve always thought it was very funny that these guys believed they were the first people to go to extreme lengths to change their looks.” Others added, “He is so visibly uncomfortable. Does he find them attractive and can’t fight it?”
One social media user even used Clavicular’s own internet slang to mock him: “Clav got mogged by the dragmaxxers and had to hold in the cortisol spike,” they wrote, essentially meaning that he was humiliated by the trans women.
Jokes aside, most users seemingly agreed with the trans women: “they aren’t lying though trans women have been on the chemical optimization grind for decades.”
Considering Clavicular’s previous sexism-related controversies, it’s easy to understand why people found the exchange so funny. Back in March, for example, the influencer was criticized online after threatening to sue a woman who slapped him during a party in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During the incident, he was saying that “women should have no rights.”
After that, the controversies surrounding Clavicular have continued. He was recently arrested on a battery charge in Florida, but posted $1,000 bail and was released soon afterward, continuing to livestream his life.
