A woman in South Carolina was found sitting outside with her baby after she was allegedly left there by the child’s father. Her appearance and condition raised concern among two people who came across her, and they quickly offered to help. However, the moment, which was captured in a 35-second clip and is now going viral, has had netizens on X either sympathizing with her or outright criticizing her.
In the footage that was shared, the woman was lightly dressed, wearing only a bonnet, shorts, and a sleeveless top. She was seen sitting on the ground near a building wall while holding her baby, with just a few of her belongings beside her.
One of the individuals who helped her asked her questions to understand what had happened before offering to give her a ride. Another person nearby also stepped in to ask if she was hungry and offered to get her something to eat. The woman accepted their help and got up from where she had been sitting.
Although the short clip did not provide the full context of how she and the baby ended up there, she told the person filming that her child’s father had left them. There is no information on whether she and her partner had argued beforehand or if he had already planned to leave them there.

At the same time, some responses were more critical of the mother. “I don’t feel sorry for her women these days like those kind of men and 85% of them know what kind of man he is and they go with it anyway hoping they can change him,” one comment read. Another even sided with her partner, saying, “He should’ve kicked the woman to the curb & let her freeze but take the child.”
