The video was shared on TikTok by user @lil_tachy, whose real name is Kirsten, and has gained traction, drawing thousands of views and reactions. Kirsten is typically known for her real-life experiences, personal stories, disability awareness, and commentary.

The video appears to show her describing an interaction with a lady who was shopping at a Kroger store. Essentially, Kirsten heard a man’s voice on the woman’s phone. The voice was asking her questions such as “Did you find help?” and “Do you need me to find you help?” As the woman continued her conversation with her phone, Kirsten says she initially thought the woman was speaking to a family member.

After making eye contact with her, the woman tells her phone to be quiet for a second, and then looks Kirsten dead in the eyes and says with a big smile on her face, “It’s my AI boyfriend. Best I’ve ever had. Best boyfriend I’ve ever had, really.” Kirsten responds in the video, expressing surprise at the comment. In her own words, she explains, “Why did you think I was a safe person to give that information to?” She also raises concerns about the environmental impact of AI use and having “a romantic relationship with a computer.” Not only that, but she’s also troubled by the fact that the woman expected to “applaud” her for her AI boyfriend.

With over 60,000 likes, 268 comments, and 2,774 shares as of this writing, the clip is gaining attention for highlighting growing interest in AI-powered companions and the differing reactions to their use in everyday life.
