It’s no secret that the right-wing spectrum in America is going through a tough time right now with all the splintering going on, and to add more pressure, a former right-wing influencer has come out and exposed how the MAGA influence machinery works. Ashley St. Clair from New York, who also had a child with Elon Musk, recently posted a lengthy video on her TikTok account alleging that MAGA and right-wing politicians have had a pay-to-play or pay-to-win system for a decade, complete with shady operations.
St. Clair, who lives in Manhattan, New York, blew the whistle on how MAGA operated over the past 10 years while doing her makeup. St. Clair was a “MAGA influencer for almost a decade,” and she revealed that MAGA or GOP messaging is “incredibly coordinated,” with them using social media for political campaigns and recruiting influencers in giant secret group chats, usually on Twitter/X.
Some of the operatives were allegedly even former White House staff who helped build up influencers, which in turn compelled the influencers to encourage their followers to support or vote for certain bills and politicians. Certain consulting firms were even established to help propagate MAGA messaging and promote politicians. According to St. Clair, these firms managed to evade the Federal Election Commission’s (FEC) radar through legal loopholes.
Part of the messaging, especially in the aforementioned group chat, involves how to respond to certain issues, such as “the files” or “the war,” almost like a script. “There is no free thinking here whatsoever. They are waiting to get marching orders and direct deposits,” claims St. Clair.
People Online are Questioning St. Clair’s Change of Heart
St. Clair herself took responsibility for boosting airline scandals in the past, among many other things, such as promoting Richard Grenell for Secretary of State for “a lot of money.” Apparently, Grennell was not the only one in this “pay-to-play” scheme. Most of these dealings allegedly didn’t come out because confidentiality agreements were put in place when “these individuals involved had a change of heart and realized that they are participating in great evil.”
As for St. Clair herself, commenters asked her about the elephant in the room, with one TikTok user asking, “So what has brought you to disclose this information?” The former MAGA influencer then replied with, “Mostly the constant gnawing on my soul it was doing,” implying that her right-wing influencing stint wracked her up with guilt.
Meanwhile, other commenters were more skeptical and even accused St. Clair of opportunism, with one commenter saying, “Couldn’t get at Elon’s bag. When it stops being lucrative, they switch up.” In any case, St. Clair’s revelation has shocked many people online with how long the MAGA scheme has been going on.
