A blind man in Jarales, New Mexico, shocked many at a local car show by correctly recognizing a vehicle. Armed with gloves, he was able to correctly name a vintage car, something he is very particularly good at doing.

They really thought there was no way he’d get this one… 😳 #blind #blindness #classiccars #Chevy #lowriderfiesta

The video was shared by Mike and Jenn, a married couple who run Blindhouse Farms. While they run a beeswax wrap business, their latest content revolves around Mike correctly identifying objects only through touch. This clip was no exception, and just like the others, it went viral, garnering 9.2 million views, 848,000 likes, and more than 1,700 comments.

While at a lowrider fiesta, the New Mexico couple approached a car owner. Jenn told him that Mike “was born totally blind,” and asked him if he could touch his car. Mike, meanwhile, was wearing cotton gloves, fully aware that vintage vehicles, such as the one shown in the clip, needed extra care to be preserved.

The man agreed, and Mike began feeling the shape of the car. Slowly, he started to move down the red vehicle. Jenn, meanwhile, told her husband that someone in the background said that he would be “one of the best in the world” if he could correctly guess what the car model was.

Eventually, Mike made his guess.

“I think it’s a ’59 or ’60 Impala. Chevy Impala,” the New Mexico man said.

He was spot on. The ones around the vehicle, witnessing his test, were impressed, saying that he was “very good.” The car owner, in particular, was amazed by Mike’s skill, saying, “Those fans gave it away, huh?” Mike and Jenn laughed, and the video concluded.

Internet Equally Impressed

The video sparked multiple responses.

Some viewers were impressed not only by Mike’s skill but also by how respectful he was. Chevrolet itself commented on the clip, saying, “We knew you’d recognize us.” Another user said, “The cotton gloves are such a nice, respectful touch.”

Others were moved by how Jenn talked about Mike to others. One viewer commented, “I love how encouraging and supportive you are of your husband. It’s beautiful.” Finally, some even praised the Chevy’s owner for allowing Mike to touch his vehicle, with one user writing, “A lot of car guys don’t want their classics to be touched, so this is so heartwarming.”
