Imagine you received a call from your daughter and found out that a much older man was following her. Any parent would jump into action, as a father in California rightly did after his 16-year-old daughter informed him that a man was harassing her.
TikTok user Macfame, Mac, shared a video detailing the situation and his confrontation with the man accused of harassment. This was while she was working at a restaurant in California. She said an older man was following her around at her job. Apparently, it was obvious enough that the girl’s manager walked her to her car. When the daughter tried to tell the man she was 16 so he’d leave her alone, he allegedly replied, “That’s fine, I’m only 30.”
Mac got into his vehicle and showed up at the scene to confront the man, who was still outside the restaurant. Mac tells the man that the waitress inside is his daughter. He says, “If I find out that you’re approaching her, speaking to her in any kind of way, it’s going to be an [expletive] problem.”
The man just stares back, without arguing, at him and says, “Alright.” Mac tells the man to “get your food and go.” He then follows the man inside the restaurant to make sure he doesn’t harass anyone while he’s in there.
As the man is leaving, he’s mumbling things under his breath. Mac says, “Everybody’s tough as they leave.” While all this is happening, the manager is standing by watching, too. They all thank Mac for coming and for standing up for his daughter.
People Online Praised Mac For Standing Up For His Daughter
Not only were the comments clearly in favor of Mac’s obviously good parenting, but the way he handled the situation. There was even love towards his daughter’s employees, who were equally protective of her. “I appreciate the manager for being professional,” wrote one viewer, while another praised the manager for sticking around until the man left.
Among the top comments, one TikTok viewer wasn’t convinced the man wasn’t harassing Mac’s daughter. “The way he right away says I’m not getting at her tells you he was.” An entire comment thread was stared, with several agreeing, “Yup guilty af.”
Another commenter made light of the situation, comparing Mac to Denzel Washington in Training Day. Mac clearly agreed, liking the TikTok comment and quoting the movie. “The fact that everyone was relieved that you showed up says ALOT,” one viewer wrote, wishing Mac’s daughter good wishes.
In the description, Mac wrote that if anyone knew the man to “instruct this grown [expletive] man to stay away from my daughter.” Honestly, any good parent would react the same, so kudos to Mac.
