A woman in California shared a disturbing story online about someone allegedly using Grindr to repeatedly send strangers to her parents’ home.
In a TikTok video, the woman expressed shock over the situation. According to her, someone using the app repeatedly arranges hookups with men and then sends them to her parents’ home once it is time to meet in person.
The woman added that her elderly parents have already encountered some of the men who were allegedly sent to their house through Grindr. According to her, whenever one of the men arrived expecting to meet someone, her parents had to explain that the person they had been speaking with did not live there. She said this situation had already happened three separate times.
The most recent incident involving Grindr happened while her parents were away from home. According to her, they noticed through their security cameras that a man was allegedly attempting to get onto the property, which led them to call the police. When officers arrived, the man reportedly explained that he had been given the address as the meeting location for a hookup arranged through the app.
“What kind of satisfaction could you be getting?” the woman asked while addressing whoever was allegedly using Grindr to send strangers to her parents’ home. In a later update video, she claimed that another man showed up at the house. When he was confronted, he allegedly pretended that he was delivering food and had simply gone to the wrong address.
She said her parents may eventually have to move because the incidents continue happening. She also explained that she and her sister are considering putting a sign on the front door of the house. The sign would warn arriving men that they had likely been scammed and ask them to leave the property. At this time, there have been no additional updates about the situation.

While some sympathized with her parents, others treated the story as entertaining. People even joked that it sounded like an unusual form of revenge. “I’m not hating to my full potential,” one person wrote, while another asked, “Who did u disrespect?”
Some viewers pointed out that the family may not be the only people targeted through Grindr. “This happened to another woman on here a few years ago! She ended up having to move!” one person wrote. Another advised, “You can actually report to the fbi. It’s a type cyber bullying. You have to report to the app too.” Someone else commented, “i’m sorry this is happening to them, this is so [expletive] up – both for your parents and for the guys who are being put in a dangerous position too.”
The situation and the alleged misuse of Grindr left many viewers concerned about how dangerous the incidents could become. It also sparked discussion about how situations like this could quickly escalate and potentially end badly for everyone involved.
