Tennessee Parents Bring Their Kids to Tears After Trying to Fight In Front of Them: ‘They Look Terrified’

They shouldn’t have acted like this

Two parents in Tennessee are facing criticism online after a video showed them attempting to start a fight in front of their children, leaving both kids visibly upset and in tears.

The video appeared to show the couple arguing with the person filming them, though the reason for the dispute was not explained in the footage. What was shown instead was the father attempting to provoke a confrontation. In the clip, he had his shirt off and walked toward the cameraman while flexing his muscles and saying, “come on.”

While the father acted aggressively in the incident, the mother could be heard in the background yelling, “we are with our kids.” The father eventually backed away as the cameraman mocked his behavior, but instead of ending the confrontation, the parents continued arguing. Behind them, their daughter could be seen crying while witnessing the scene unfold.

While the parents could have left the situation, the mother instead continued yelling at the cameraman. She demanded that he get inside his car, again stating that they were with their children. She also accused the cameraman of following them around.

“I think you need to get a hold of him,” the cameraman responded. At that point, the father attempted to approach the cameraman again and called him a “piece of [expletive].” Their young daughter could then be heard screaming in tears, saying, “Dad stop.”

The cameraman pointed this out, saying, “Dude your kid is crying.” Instead of immediately comforting his children, the father remained shirtless and continued engaging with the cameraman. The video ended with the mother pushing him away while their daughter once again begged him to stop.

Viewers Sympathize With Tennessee Parents’ Kids

The video sparked reactions online. Viewers online expressed sympathy for the Tennessee children who witnessed their parents nearly start a physical fight. “My heart goes out to those kids. They look terrified. Parents of the year,” one person wrote. Another added, “Yeah it’s the pain and fear in the girls voice for me. Definitely not the first time their parents have done some insane [expletive] like this.”

More people expressed sympathy for the two children, saying the situation appeared distressing to witness. One person wrote, “Those kids’ body language was heartbreaking. Frozen in fear and humiliation, actively screaming and crying, and the two people who are supposed to be their source of safety and comfort, are acting like terrors. Smh. I watched this the first time without audio and thought it was a skit at first with how….animated the guy was when he ran up to FAFO. Can’t believe this guy and his wife are real, are raising kids, are driving vehicles, and are voting in our elections.”

The video sparked discussion online about how parents should behave in front of their children and whether public confrontations should be avoided in such situations. It also led to broader conversation about the impact of parental behavior on children, especially when intense arguments or conflict occur in public settings.
