A scary motorcycle crash occurred in Providence, Rhode Island, when a bystander hurled a filled trash can at a speeding cyclist. As seen in the viral video posted on Reddit, the motorcyclist sped across the street, where many pedestrians were walking and standing, and revved their bike loudly. As they sped past, a man in a grey T-shirt and black pants threw a trash can at the motorcyclist, causing the rider to fall off the speeding bike. The bike ran through the road barricades and into a tent.
A clip taken from a closer angle to the crash showed that the bike pulled the tent down. Bystanders could be heard screaming, with many people, including the motorcyclist, running towards the tent where the bike finally came to a halt. As reported by The Providence Journal, the motorcyclist, who was 19 or 20 years old, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and no other injuries were reported. According to the police report, although the motorcyclist claimed that someone threw an object at him, causing him to lose his balance, he received numerous summonses for operating the motorcycle without the proper license and expired registration.
The police added that further investigation was ongoing and any foul play detected would be dealt with accordingly.
