An Oklahoma man was filmed allegedly harassing a woman while she was out for a walk before trying to hit her with his vehicle after she responded to his harassment.
The woman shared a video online and explained in the caption what allegedly happened before the footage was recorded. The video was later stitches by TikTok creator @thatdaneshguy. The stitched video is the one shared due to the original video being flagged as sensitive content.
The woman claimed in her caption that she was walking to a store when the man, who was stopped at a traffic light, began honking at her. When she turned to look at him, she said she saw him laughing. His behavior prompted her to respond by giving him the middle finger.
After she responded to him, the driver allegedly exited his vehicle and claimed that he was not talking to her but was instead speaking to a biker. The woman said she tried to end the situation by telling him it was a misunderstanding and apologizing. However, she claimed that the man continued the confrontation by talking about having a gun. According to her account, he allegedly threatened to shoot her in the head and said he would get his wife to fight her.
Following the alleged encounter, the woman began filming the man. While sitting in his car, he continued cursing at her before driving away and throwing what appeared to be a can in her direction. She then stood behind his vehicle to film his license plate. At that point, the driver backed up in an apparent attempt to hit her.
“He’s trying to hit me. Literally trying to [expletive] hit me,” the woman said as she stepped away from the vehicle just before it hit her. The video ended with her telling the man that his behavior was why she was going to call the police. He ultimately drove away.
After the woman shared the video online, the man was reportedly identified by the TikTok creator. Although he allegedly tried to hide his location online, the creator was still able to identify him. It was also alleged that the woman filed a police report.
Viewers Slam Oklahoma Man After Harassing Woman
Online, many viewers criticized the Oklahoma man over his alleged behavior toward the woman. Some also described the situation as serious and frightening. “That’s scary,” one person wrote. Another person said, “Sue him in civil court for the worth of the truck, home, bank account, etc…..in addition to pressing charges.” Someone else added, “I hope his wife sees this.”
After another TikTok creator shared the woman’s video, she left a comment providing more context about what happened. “I am the one in the video im Monica I did call cops they did nothing so I pushed it and I talked to detective today finaly to press charges they are gonna try to find him and then said see if the da wants to take it and press charges!!!” she wrote. Her comment prompted one person to encourage her, saying, “take it all the way girl!!!!!!!!”
The video drew attention to concerns about women being harassed while simply walking down the street. It also highlighted the importance of holding people accountable for allegedly harassing or threatening others. This is to help prevent similar situations from happening again.
