Texas Black Woman Called Racial Slur, Then Mocked Other Person’s Disability: ‘2 Wrongs Do Make a Right’

That’s one way to respond

A Black woman in Texas went viral after sharing a confrontation with an individual who appeared to be homeless and who allegedly directed a racial slur at her, prompting her to respond with insults targeting the person’s physical condition.

Because the recording begins after the apparent dispute had already started, the circumstances leading up to the exchange remain unclear. In the clip, the woman asks the individual whether she had called her the n-word. In the video, the individual appears to acknowledge having used the slur, though it is unclear what occurred before the recording began. The woman then asks why the slur was used, and the individual responds that she does not know why she said it.

The confrontation then escalated as the woman responded by mocking the individual’s physical condition. Referring to the fact that the individual appeared to have an amputated leg, she said, “Are you mad that you can’t walk or something? Get the [expletive] up and walk? Is that why you mad?”

The woman continued making remarks about the individual’s disability before eventually leaving the scene. She also suggested that the individual’s use of a racial slur was due to frustration over not being able to “kick” her legs.

Before leaving, the woman continued cursing at the individual. At the end of the video, she again mocked her, saying, “Go kick your feet. Go walk around. Do that.” The creator also included the caption, “Black folk really do just be minding our damn business.”

Viewers Split Over Texas Woman’s Response to Viral Confrontation

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers argued that the woman’s anger was understandable given the alleged use of a racial slur, though opinions differed on whether her response crossed a line. “2 wrongs do make a right,” one person wrote. Others also joined in mocking the homeless individual. Several commenters defended the woman’s response, arguing that the racial slur justified a strong reaction. Others went further, posting comments that mocked the individual’s disability.

Some viewers disagreed with how the woman handled the situation. One person wrote, “Beautiful lady you let that lady win twice on you she is already suffering in life don’t let no one change your mood you are a queen walk with elegance and don’t give people like her any of your joy.” Another commenter disagreed, arguing that people should not be expected to remain silent when confronted with racist language, writing, “Women don’t have to be quiet and carry on. WOMEN ARE ALLOWED A [expletive] VOICE AND TO STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES. SHE DID THE RIGHT THING.”

The video ultimately sparked debate over whether responding to racism with personal attacks is justified and where viewers draw the line between standing up for oneself and escalating a confrontation. It also led to discussions about being the “bigger person” in tense situations and the importance of not mocking individuals who are struggling, even in moments of conflict or wrongdoing.
