It’s said a picture is worth a thousand words, but few could describe whatever vandalism monstrosity occurred in Zanesville, Ohio. A Reddit user named W00tah, who grew up in Zanesville, posted a photo of a horrific scene on r/Wellthatsucks of a car that was thoroughly desecrated. The entire outside was covered with peanut butter, with jars left atop the roof, and olives were generously poured all over the hood and windshield. If that wasn’t bad enough, a dead raccoon was attached to one of the doors.
“Given that the car is covered in pictures of multiple women I’m thinking someone suspects multiple cheating incidents and is also not good at expressing themselves with words,” remarked a Redditor, and OP said they might be right. “I am wagering on it was a scorned lover, but knowing my hometown, it could be any number of things,” they responded in a comment.
According to W00tah, the car isn’t theirs, but it was posted in a Facebook group they follow to keep up with things back home. They claimed to have moved away to the other side of the state 10 years ago; that said, seeing such a shocking scene of emotional distress splattered all over someone’s car doesn’t seem to faze them. “Doesn’t surprise me, in the slightest,” they wrote.
On the flip side, Redditors tuning into the peanut butter and olive car were more than fazed, some in disbelief as to what exactly had happened. “That poor raccoon,” exclaimed a commenter. “Getting revenge on someone who has a peanut allergy, hates olives on pizza, and thinks raccoons are just sooo cute?” questioned another.
Some guessed that the raccoon wasn’t actually killed but just roadkill, though W00tah did not confirm these users’ suspicions. “I gotta know the backstory behind this,” wrote a determined Redditor. “I have so many questions,” agreed a second.
Reddit believes the most damning piece of evidence of a possible “cheater” involved with this story is that several photos of people can be seen plastered on the side of the vandalized vehicle. Again, this is speculation, but one point is seemingly conclusive: the owner of the car made someone very, very mad.
