A bagel shop in Massachusetts shared a video publicly calling out a customer after he repeatedly threw trash and food on the ground while eating at the shop. The business posted the footage online to shame the man’s behavior, sparking widespread discussion on social media.

The shop, named Bagels by Perry, shared security camera footage on social media to highlight what the customer’s repeated behavior. In the video, the man was sitting at a table with a woman, and both had food in front of them. After taking a bite of part of his order, the man appeared to throw the remaining piece onto the ground.

Rather than picking up what he had thrown, the woman sitting with him appeared to ignore the situation and continued eating. The man then picked up a napkin and, after wiping his hands and mouth, crumpled it into a ball and left it on the table. He then used a plastic knife to push the napkin off the edge of the table and onto the floor.

After repeatedly throwing food and trash onto the floor, the man continued his behavior. At one point, he looked around the shop, appearing to check whether anyone was watching him. He then swatted the plastic container in front of him, which appeared to still contain food, causing it to fall as well. The video ended there, and it is unclear whether anyone confronted the man afterward. When the shop shared the footage online, they added the caption “What a [pig emoji]” over the video.

Viewers Criticize Massachusetts Man for Repeatedly Littering

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers were shocked and outraged by the Massachusetts man’s behavior, saying it was inappropriate for an adult. “He only ate one bite too.. [expletive] that guy. Acting like a toddler,” one person wrote. Another commenter speculated that the man may have been unhappy with his order but criticized the way he handled it. “Looking at the way he was peeling stuff off it at the beginning, something about the order was wrong or else he just didn’t like how it was prepared. So instead of, I don’t know, speaking to someone like an adult, he threw this hissy fit like a toddler,” they wrote.

More people expressed outrage over the incident, with many pointing out that employees would likely be left to clean up the mess. “So someone 15 years old, minimum wage will clean this up. [Expletive] this guy,” one person wrote. Another commenter replied, “Lets not forget, this is the kind of guy who will make a mess like a toddler cause something didn’t go how he wanted, force the 15 year old kid making minimum to clean it, then argue until hes blue in the face about these lazy kids wanting 15 dollars an hour for this!?”

The video sparked a conversation about appropriate behavior in restaurants and other public establishments. It also started a discussion about accountability, with many viewers arguing that customers who intentionally litter or create unnecessary messes should be held responsible for their actions.
