A Pennsylvania family has gone viral after sharing a 24-second TikTok video they believe captured a glimpse of Bigfoot during a drive. The clip, which has racked up more than 12 million views, 950,000 likes, and 3,800 comments, has sparked debate over whether the mysterious figure is the legendary creature — or simply something far more ordinary.
The video was shared by Pennsylvania family @blessedatkins, whose account primarily features everyday family moments, outings, and life with their children.
In their latest viral video, the father records through the windshield as he drives back toward the area after his children excitedly claim they have spotted Bigfoot. Initially skeptical, he jokes, “Where’s Bigfoot?” while slowly scanning the roadside. Moments later, a dark figure can briefly be seen standing among the trees, prompting the children to scream before the clip comes to an abrupt end.
Accompanying the footage is the caption, “My kids screamed they saw bigfoot and we’re freaking out so i turned around thinking they’re full of crap. They weren’t,” suggesting the father initially dismissed his children’s claims before deciding to turn the car around and investigate.
The clip quickly sparked debate online, with many viewers convinced the mysterious figure wasn’t Bigfoot at all.
Viewers Think They Know What the Family Really Saw
Many viewers believed there was a much simpler explanation than Bigfoot. One person, who said they drive trucks for a living, commented, “I drive trucks and see these often,” while sharing an image of what appeared to be a Bigfoot cutout. Another wrote, “it looks like there is a drive way right by it I think it is a cardboard cutout or a metal sheet made to look like Bigfoot or a person because my grandpa has one of those in his driveway bc he lives in the country.”
Others pointed out that similar displays can be startling, even if they aren’t the legendary creature. “i’ve seen this cutout a couple times 😠always spooky at first,” one viewer shared. Others kept the mood light, with one joking, “You know it’s him bc the video is blurry,” while another quipped, “sorry my sister usually takes walks in the woods.”
Whether the family really saw something unusual or simply stumbled across a roadside display, the children’s reaction was enough to leave millions of viewers wondering what they would have done in the same situation.
