Palworld 1.0 has brought a new level-up system called “Awakening” for your hardworking pals, allowing them to get new boosted stats, glow up, and become even stronger, even if they’re on max level. However, in order to get a taste of this brand-new update, you’re gonna find Radiant Gems in different types depending on the pal you’re planning to upgrade, and for that, it’s best if you’ve already unlocked the World Tree biome in Palworld 1.0.

What Are Radiant Gems?

Radiant Gems are new items that you can rarely find in chests and regularly farm from high-level enemy pals in Palworld 1.0 to build Awakening Crystals. This is the item you’re looking for to get your pals to the ultimate level, and each pal requires a matching Radiant Gem for the upgrade. For example, a fire pal like Foxparks needs Fire Radiant Gems to create a Fire Awakening Crystal. There are 9 types of Radiant Gems in total:

  • Neutral
  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Water
  • Dark
  • Dragon
  • Ground
  • Grass
  • Electric

The easiest way is defeating high-level pals, and most efficiently the alpha ones. You’ll find these in the open world for sure, but the best place to absolutely farm all types of Radiant Gems has to be the World Tree biome. You can find every type of pal in there that drops the gems you want.

Remember that sometimes beating or capturing a pal doesn’t give you the gems, and that’s ok. Just get the next guy, and you’ll have the Radiant Gems you’re looking for. As for detecting which pal has the gem element you need, just look at the element logo next to their HP bar.

Gather 50 of these gems and 10 Holy Waters from the World Tree biome by defeating pals, and you can create an Awakening Crystal on the Ancient Workbench in your base. Simply select the crystal after creating one, and apply it to your pal in your inventory.
