A situation like this happened in Alabama, where a visitor hailing all the way from California realized that what some people said about the state wasn’t true, and praised Alabama for all it offers. Naturally, those residing in the state felt extremely happy after hearing this.
The story comes from a Californian Reddit user, more specifically, from Los Angeles. They posted a thread saying that they had visited Alabama and claimed it wasn’t what they were expecting at all.
According to OP, they were expecting “A beaver nugget store and conservative flags on lawn mowers.” Yet, what they found was completely the opposite. OP quickly mentioned that what they saw in Alabama was one giant forest and then went to see the resort area. They also mentioned how all the people they met were extremely nice and laid back, which was a plus on their trip. OP even praised the food, saying it was great, and that they ended up gaining 6 lbs from this short trip only.
As you can imagine, those in Alabama felt happy after hearing this, and also showed some warm “online hospitality” on Reddit, saying more people should visit the state.
