A Michigan mother’s confession is drawing support online after she admitted she indeed maced a complete stranger in her local Walmart. Her reason? Said stranger felt it was acceptable to tickle her daughter. She now shares her side of the story on TikTok!

TikTok user Jewelfrmdetroit went viral after somebody shared a video of her macing a stranger at Walmart. It turns out, she argues, it was all for a good reason. Jewel says, a “big, burly man” walked up to her young daughter and started tickling her. She said, “So, I maced him…”

Jewel says the guy’s actions were incredibly concerning. “…Why would you do that?” she says in her TikTok video. “I don’t even play tickle at home! There’s no tickling of the baby! Who tickles babies they don’t know?”

And this wasn’t the first time something like this happened, according to Jewel. The whole reason she was carrying mace was because of another creepy incident that happened a few days prior. She was at the library when a man tapped her on the shoulder, calling her baby “cute.” To her, the whole concept of touching other people in public was what irked her so.

As a result, she figured it would be wise to carry mace. In most cases, people are touching her just to talk about her baby. She adds, “I know my baby is beautiful.” After showing a can of mace to her audience, “Don’t  touch us or you can get it, too!”

Jewel’s TikTok confession sees support from parents online

Jewel’s TikTok video drew thousands of commenters online, most of whom were overwhelmingly in support of her parental instincts. Many of the viewers were parents themselves and argued they would’ve done the same.

A parent in the comments shared their weird encounter of a stranger wanting to hold her baby. “Told her no several times, she kept begging so i yelled at her in the middle of the store to leave us tf alone. She started crying and ran away.”

Another mother shared her disturbing confrontation with customers. “A drunk stranger and a random lady in a grocery store asked my 1yr old for a kiss… like lips poked out leaning in for it.”

Others argued this was nothing more than a tactic for predators to touch others and akin to sexual assault. “I’m telling yall tickling is a way to sneak touch lil kids istg.”

General consensus among viewers was that if the kid isn’t yours, then you keep your hands to yourself. It’s clear some people still don’t understand basic boundaries among strangers.
