She noted that her father, 55, had legal status in the country since he was 15. She alleged that they had not given her father food or water consistently and “He’s begged for his stroke medication.”
She stated that they filed an emergency stay of removal so he could stay long enough for his health to be stable, but it was denied. The woman shared that they received a call from the hospital telling them that he had suffered a stroke on the left side of his body, leaving him paralyzed on that side. She added that her father had struggled to give them her number, but the agents did not let him speak to her, saying he could tell her the room he was in. “ICE is fully responsible,” she cried. The woman urged people to come to their aid if they had anybody in immigration who could help.
