Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker posted a video clip on X with the caption “Come and get me, Donald Trump.” The footage, from a recent UnidosUS event, shows a moderator describing how Pritzker once looked into the camera and delivered the phrase while discussing being on the wrong side of President Trump. The post quickly drew replies from online users, many of whom focused on Illinois tax policies and questioned the challenge.

The video shows a moderator at a UnidosUS event seated beside Governor JB Pritzker. She says, “Before I ask the last question, what has impressed me a lot about Governor Pritzker,” then refers to the “wrong side of President Trump,” adding that he was “so irritated that” and describing “Governor Pritzker’s response.” She continues, “He looked right into the camera,” and quotes him as saying, “Come get me.” The footage focuses on this recounting and does not show the original moment being described.

The post text uses the slightly expanded phrasing “Come and get me, Donald Trump.” The clip appears to reference a past exchange, though the full surrounding context of that earlier statement is not visible in the video.

Online Discussion Following the UnidosUS Exchange Recap

Some users focused on state tax policy, with one writing, “You imposed another tax increase on us today, so of course, all you can talk about is Trump!”

Another commented, “How about you lower taxes and utility bills and stop worrying about what the *expletive* Trump is doing. You are so fixated on Trump, while Illinois families are hurting financially.”

Others questioned the challenge itself. One reply stated, “A multi-billionaire who can’t crack 2% in the presidential polls is out here yelling ‘Come and get me, Donald Trump.’ Brother, @realDonaldTrump isn’t looking for you. Neither is America. You’re the participation trophy of 2028.”

Separate comments included “*expletive* clown!” and “Be careful what you wish for.” A different user responded, “You’re such a bad *expletive* JB! My hero!”

For now, the post has sparked discussion among those following Illinois politics. Online commenters, however, remain focused on state tax policies and the nature of the governor’s challenge to Trump.
