An Oklahoma woman had been waiting in line at a DHS office when she accidentally cut in front of another person. Rather than bygones be bygones, another woman also in line took offense to it and immediately soured the situation with her racism.
Posted on Facebook and TikTok, Victoria (TikTok/v_lashae) shared on social media that her experience was “your regular day living in Oklahoma.” According to Victoria, she accidentally stepped in front of a man in line and apologized for her mistake. When she got behind the man in line, another woman insisted Victoria also skipped over her and told Victoria to get behind her, too. However, Victoria says she was there before her.
The woman not only reacted with anger, but she forced her way in front of Victoria, “bumping my 6-year-old daughter” and called her a racial slur. Victoria started recording the confrontation, with the woman screaming at her. A DHS worker gets involved and asks the local to leave if she doesn’t “calm down.” The lady then says she’ll call anyone the racial slur “if I want to.”
The two argue further, with another stranger in line also calling out the racist lady, including people who just stood by and didn’t say a word when she started slinging slurs. Fortunately, justice was served. According to Victoria, the “staff and law enforcement stepped in and she was escorted out” for her behavior.
Victoria shares more of her thoughts on Facebook, saying, “I’m sharing this not to spread hate, but because racism is still very real. No child should have to witness something like this.”
The Racist Karen Gets Dragged Online by Victoria’s Viewers
There were numerous comments on Victoria’s video between TikTok and Facebook. Many viewers were of course baffled someone would go immediately to using slurs, but were also shaming those who just stood around saying nothing. One commenter on Facebook asked, “How do people stand there ignoring that?!”
Another viewer claims she may have had an encounter with the same lady while shopping at Dollar General. She recounts a similar situation — cutting in line accidentally, only to then be berated by her. “She was super nasty to me about it in front of her kids as well. Really classy.”
Victoria then shared an image of more racism she received via Facebook Messenger, wherein a man called her a “monkey” for allegedly sharing the faces of his grandsons. He also called her child a “monkey baby little chimpanzee.” According to a commenter who claims to know the racist woman, the man was allegedly the lady’s father.
The apple does not fall far from the tree it seems. Victoria further shares that she didn’t want to post the video to “spread hate” but to show that “racism is still very real.”
