A black man in Georgia confronted a school administrator after he claimed she welcomed other families while repeatedly ignoring his Black family.
It appeared that the incident took place during a school event for parents. The school administrator stood by the door of a room while the man filmed her. An Asian family was also present, and the administrator greeted them with a smile, saying, “you’re welcome to join in here.” The interaction led the man to believe that the administrator was treating black parents differently.
“She didn’t say that to me,” the man said. After the Asian family entered the room, he approached the administrator to confront her about the interaction. “Let me tell you something, when other ethnicities come to African American, you need to treat them the same way,” he told her.
The man then accused the administrator of speaking to everyone, including “all the white people, all the Indians, all the Asians,” while allegedly “ignoring” black people when they walked past her. After hearing his accusation, the administrator apologized, saying, “I’m so sorry.”
“Yeah, you need to speak to black people as well,” he told her. He then went further by accusing the administrator of racism. “We ain’t gonna do no racism,” he said. The administrator nodded as the man continued confronting her. He accused her of failing to welcome his family while welcoming another family he referred to as the “little Chinese people.” The administrator apologized again as the confrontation ended.
The man also provided more details in the caption accompanying the video. “Most people will let it slide but I’m the type that’s gone call you about it,” he wrote. He claimed that the administrator ignored his black family when they entered the building and again after he took his child to class. “But the lil Chinese family right behind me got welcomed with open arms and it was just eating at me that I had to say something cause some people be needing a reality check or they will continue to do it,” he added. The man’s allegations have not been independently verified.
Viewers Side With Black Georgia Man Over Confrontation
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers sided with the black Georgia man for confronting the school administrator over his allegations. “Happens all the damn time,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “Lmaoo she’ll remember that for the rest of her life. Tomorrow she will be extra nice.” Someone else claimed, “She admitted it‼”
More viewers continued criticizing the administrator, with one person saying, “That nice nasty ish they do, so annoying and dangerous.” Others thanked the man for speaking up about what he perceived as different treatment. “I appreciate you addressing the microaggression and filming it because we get painted out to create issues a lot,” another commenter said.
While many viewers interpreted the administrator’s apology as support for the man’s concerns, the video does not establish why his family was allegedly not greeted or whether other Black families received different treatment. The administrator did not explain her actions during the portion of the interaction shown.
