Outrage erupted online after a group of women in Florida appeared to use mobility scooters at Disney as a form of entertainment.

In a video shared online, the group of women could be seen riding mobility scooters in a circle while laughing and filming themselves. The women appeared to be treating the scooters as a form of entertainment as a song played over the video with the lyrics, “They see me Rollin.”

The video continued showing the women riding the mobility scooters in circles while laughing and filming themselves. Toward the end, one of the women appeared to use her scooter to bump into a friend who was riding another scooter. The footage led some viewers to believe that the women were using the mobility scooters for entertainment rather than because they genuinely needed them.

Another video showed the women cheering as they took off on the mobility scooters. One of them could be heard asking another to send her the video. The footage further fueled viewers’ suspicions that the group was treating the mobility scooters as a recreational activity rather than using them for a genuine mobility need.

Because the group consisted of black women, one of them defended their behavior by sharing a video showing white women apparently doing the same thing. “Oh but we the problem,” she wrote over the video. She also added in the caption, “Someone please tell me the difference‼! Because yall definitely not in their comments section like you’re in mine.” It is unclear whether the group faced criticism specifically because of their race, but many people argued that the behavior was inappropriate regardless of who was doing it.

Viewers Outraged After Florida Women Use Mobility Scooters

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers expressed outrage after seeing the group of Florida women riding the mobility scooters around Disney. Some argued that the scooters should be reserved for people who genuinely need mobility assistance. “They ruined the system for everyone now you have to require proof that you need the fast pass for disability and real autistic. Kids are not getting approved because of people who like to take advantage of the system. They ruined it for everyone else. I smell a lot of lawsuits happening already,” one person wrote.

More viewers continued expressing outrage, with some calling on Disney to take action. “Hey @DisneyParks might want to fix this before someone gets hurt. And check disability and or age before renting scooters to perfectly able bodied adults,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “They will only understand if they in fact have a disability. None of them understand the law of pretending to have a crutch and then all the sudden needing one for real. Karma is a [expletive].” Someone else added, “People with actual disabilities get hurt by this behavior. Being an idiot might feel like a disability, but it doesn’t count as one.”

The video sparked a broader conversation about how people allegedly misusing mobility scooters could make it more difficult for those with genuine disabilities to access the assistance they need. It also led to discussion about whether such behavior could encourage businesses and other establishments to introduce stricter rules or requirements for using mobility aid devices.
